On our way to visit the Matthews in Sumter, SC, we took a detour to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia. The zoo is managable on foot even for a 16 month old. We had fun listening to the tiger roar and watching the gorilla (behind very thick glass!) From ostriches to bears, whenever we spotted an animal Mae would shout out, "Dawg!"
