As if the National Zoo wasn't enough, we headed to Lazy 5 Ranch, north of Charlotte, to take a wagon ride with our neighborhood playgroup. The wagon meandered through 5 acres of farmland, home to emus, deer, antelope, pigs, giraffes, zebras, water buffalo, and various water fowl. Most of the animals would come up and eat right from the kid's hands.
