Jack's Big, Big World

We stand amazed by Jack's wild imagination. On a daily basis, He creates personas such as "Dinosaur Manager" and "Country Fair Man". Dinosaur manager was born out of a few visits to the pool. Jack was curious about the forty-something year old man whose responsibilites included fishing poop out of the baby pool and "managing" (hanging out with) a staff 30 years his junior. Of course, Jack thought this man looked very important, so when we returned home that evening, he chose an appropriate outfit from his dress-up box and began to create a world where he managed dinosaurs. (I have no idea about the genesis of Country Fair Man, however, the outfit included a mangy wig, cowboy hat, vest, and boots.)
He is also preoccupied with all things Shrek. We made the mistake of showing him the first movie, taped from NBC, prior to the opening of Shrek the Third (the marketing genius of the movie industry). Now we have become McDonald's customers in order to collect the entire family of Shrek figures. (He's holding a couple of Donkeys in the picture.) Long live the happy meal!
